Money Matters: Avoid Unnecessary Stress By Planning Ahead

Blog / Money Matters: Avoid Unnecessary Stress By Planning Ahead

I know, I know, wedding planning is meant to be all about love and romance not money and finance! And while it is definitely not the most exciting of topics, it is obviously an important one. Getting your wedding funds in order from the outset can save you a lot of stress later down the line. Here are a few quick tips to get you started.

Before you start picking a venue, shopping for your dress or mailing invitations en masse, its important to sit down and have a chat with whoever will be footing the bill. Whether you and your fiancé are funding it alone or getting a helping hand from your parents, at your first discussion about money, its important to lay down the foundations of your ideal wedding. From here on you can move forward and set a wedding budget.

Now I would tell you to stick to your wedding budget, but you'll probably find this extremely difficult to do, so it is always a good idea to build a back-up fund into your plans to cover those unexpected expenses.

Once you have planned the economics of your big day the wheels are well and truly in motion for planning your wedding!
