As all of you begin your wedding plans for the upcoming year, you may even consider much about the weddings until later. Then you will start considering all kinds of wedding rings and wedding bands. You will have to decide if you both will want to wear matching bands, if you want the wedding band to match the engagement, and so on and so forth. For couples that wish to have matching wedding bands there are a few more popular ones.

Of course, the classic gold wedding bands are at the top of the list. These weddings bands usually match very well with any gold engagement ring, so you do not have to worry about the look of them together. The gold wedding bands seen purchased the most are the ones with rounded edges. Also remember, the higher the gold content in the ring the more yellow the gold will be.

Next on the list are the classic tri-color wedding bands. These rings highlight three interlocking bands of yellow gold, white gold, and rose gold. Some people know this style as the rolling ring or the Cartier style ring. Couples that have not chosen an engagement often choose these bands.

Third on the list are the milgrain wedding bands. You may have heard these bands called beaded or granulated. The beauty of these rings is the metal band that is inserted between tiny beaded edges. You can choose from yellow gold, white gold, platinum, or titanium. In most cases, the metal band for the groom is wider than that of the bride.

Rounding out the top four most popular wedding bands is the diamond eternity band. The band with this style is wet with small diamonds around the entire band. At one time, this band was seen more as a wedding anniversary gift, but it is becoming more and more popular for the wedding.

We've decided to not get matching wedding bands, because my hubby is looking for a simple platinum band and I am looking for something in gold. They will both be pretty though.
