Spring Wedding Thoughts

Blog / Spring Wedding Thoughts

If you are planning a spring wedding, you may be wondering what type of flowers and colors are the most popular. Well, spring is the time when live begins anew and it is considered to be one of the perfect time to begin your new life as husband and wife.

Spring weddings are usually decorated with several flowers and greenery. Spring flowers you might wish to use to decorate your wedding or reception include anemones, lilies of the valley, magnolia, sweet peas, ranunculus, snowdrops, and tulips. If your wedding is close to Easter, you may wish to add such flowers as irises, hyacinth and daffodils.

Other decorations that can create a spring feeling include butterflies, dragonflies, potted flowers and greenery.

The most popular colors for spring include green, lavender, pink, and yellow. This gives you so much more to work with including your attire or accessories. This allows the bride to be able to wear other colors such as beige, pink, or tan instead of the traditional white. Grooms often wear mocha brown or chocolate suits instead of tuxedos.

Garden and outdoor weddings are very popular for spring; however, the weather can change without much notice. According to where you live you may have to change your outdoor wedding to an indoor wedding without much notice, so always have a backup plan that will accommodate all guests. Nothing would be worse than a thunderstorm popping up, everyone running to a tent, and half of them are still out in the downpour.
