Small Wedding Ceremony Ideas

Blog / Small Wedding Ceremony Ideas

Small weddings ceremonies and receptions can be held in various places especially if you have ruled out your church or other large venues such as fancy hotels. Many of these are just too large and you may feel lost or in the case of some hotels if you do not have over 100 guests they will not host the reception.

Let’s look at your options.
Wedding chapels are usually small and can be very personal.

Many restaurants can be decorated for a special wedding reception and if they have a garden outdoors a beautiful place for a small wedding ceremony.

Small weddings are quite beautiful in a garden or even a neighborhood park and then plan the reception at a local restaurant or create your own picnic for the reception, weather permitting. What would be more romantic than a wedding and reception along the shores of a creek, river, or even a pond that is nestled in a park?

Several bed and breakfast accommodate weddings and the reception as long as the guest list is not too large. The same goes for historic homes, museums, historic inns, or even someone homes close to you. All of these options can give you wonderful ideas for your wedding.

Trains and boats are other options for a unique wedding and yes reception.

You may not hear about any of these places offering their services for wedding and receptions, but they of course do not want to have 200 guests in a small area.

The best way to learn if any of the places listed above allow wedding ceremonies or receptions is to call the ones that interest you. You may be surprised that they will even help with some of the preparations.
