Attire for the Flower Girl

Blog / Attire for the Flower Girl

The special little girl you have chosen to be your flower girl is normally a relative of either the bride or groom or maybe the daughter of one of their best friends. The little girl has been chosen because the couple love and care about this special girl and you want to make her feel just how special she really is to both of you.

The majority of the time, the flower girl is between 3 and 10 years of age. These little girls need to know how important their job is during your wedding and how much you appreciate their participation. However, you also want them to feel this way instead of just hear your words. Choosing the attire they will wear is one indicator of your love. All little girls love to dress up and play as if they are the bride, choose adorable white dresses to help them feel this way. The younger girls love to wear bows and ribbons. You can even choose a beautiful flowered wreath or a silky dress with ruffled socks. For the older girls you may wish to make them feel a bit more grown up with shoes with a small heel, a tiara, and just a tad of makeup. Remember, they are little girls and do not need gobs of makeup.

After the wedding, be sure to have a great gift so they will always cherish this special day.
