Writing your Wedding Vows

Blog / Writing your Wedding Vows

Many couples today enjoying writing their own wedding vows, giving them an even more special memory of their wedding day. In some cases, this is a unique way for the couple to bond in a special way instead of sticking with the traditional words that may not pertain to them directly.

The best way in which to begin writing wedding vows is to sit down and decide what is most important to both of you. Begin by asking questions such as
* How did you meet?
* Where were you in your life when you meet?
* When did you know you were in love? Express exactly how this felt.
* What arouses you about each other?
* What are the goals you share?
* What are the dreams you share?
* What makes your love special?
* What makes your love strong and everlasting?
* How has your views changed since you met?
* What do you look forward to with this person?
* What are the special moments you remember during your relationship?

Okay, you may wish to express your love with many different words; however, this is only a public declaration of your commitment. The vows should not go over three minutes. This is not a private conversation!
