Many flowers can be used for weddings and receptions however; there are some that are used due to the season of the wedding. The main reason this is so is that certain flowers bloom or in season during specific seasons of the year.

During the Spring, the most popular wedding flowers include apple blossoms, cherry blossoms, daffodils, dogwoods, ferns, forsythia, hyacinth, irises, larkspur, lilacs, lilies, lily of the valley, pansies, peonies, sweet peas, tulips, and violets.

During the Summer, the most popular wedding flowers include asters, beech leaves, calla lilies, dahlias, daisies, delphinium, ferns, geraniums, goldenrod, hydrangeas, iris, Jacobs ladder, larkspur, meadowsweet, roses, Shasta, sunflower, sweet William, Queen Anne’s Lace, and zinnias.

During the Autumn, the most popular wedding flowers include asters, chrysanthemums, gerbera daisies, marigolds, roses, statice, zinnias, and yarrow.

During the Winter the most popular wedding flowers include amaryllis, camellias, forget me nots, jasmine, and orchids.

Other accessory flowers that are often seen during any season include baby’s breath, carnation, gardenias, roses, snapdragons, and stephanotis.

When you are planning your wedding, no matter what season it may be, many people are now turning to silk flowers. Silk flowers last longer, can be saved as a memorable of the event, and are beautiful. Real flowers are never left out of the wedding or reception; however, unique silk flowers can be used for all kinds of decorating ideas to enhance the beauty of any reception hall, garden arch, or church. Creating a magnificent fantasy reception and wedding can be done using all kinds of flowers, leaves, greenery, silk and real flowers.
