The thought of having a couple's shower is something that a lot of newly engaged couples want to do. But at the same time, this is definitely not a necessity. Remember, just because you are having a couple's shower does not mean that you have to pass on the bridal shower. While the women only bridal shower is often a more of a planned out function, the couple's shower for both sexes and is pretty much informal.

If you want to have a couple's shower, it may be in your best interest to tell the attendants shortly after announcing your engagement. This will give them enough time to clear their schedule, and get everything set up on their end. It's a good idea for the best man and the honor attendant to get together to plan this function with the help of the groomsmen and bridesmaids.

A couple's shower is a nice party to have. It suits both the bride and the groom, and the benefits that go along with it are nearly endless. Even though a couple's shower is not a necessity, it can sure help out in the long run.
